Working closely with an event host or organiser I will ensure the event takes place on schedule, follows correct etiquette and, if appropriate is fun as well as memorable.
An event booking will normally start with an initial email followed by an informal telephone conversation about the event, which will cover the conventional who, what, where and when, and any special requirements.
Based on this information the actual event arrangements and costs can then be discussed, and next steps agreed.
On the day I will liaise with the event organiser or host as well as the venue’s banqueting manager to make sure the event runs to schedule. I will also manage any unforeseen eventualities that might happen on the day. I will also act as a friendly face that guides the host, VIPs and other guests through the event to ensure everyone enjoys themselves and take away any appropriate messages.
